LANCE ARMSTRONG COMES CLEAN

FORMER OLYMPIAN IS NOT PERFECT AFTER ALL
Lance Armstrong who many people look up to has come clean to doping. An interview with one of the best reporters in New York City Joe Parsnik, Lance tells how he has cheated.

Joe- Lance I am concerned on why you chose to do what you did and how long you been doing this.
Lance- I needed to win, I was so focused on winning that I was not making good decisions. I only was doping in 2000 I know I was wrong for it and it is something I will always regret. However, I still put in the work and I believe I still deserve everything that I have today.
Joe- What made you decide to do it?
Lance- Well you see the cyclists are such different breads of athletes. We are in the best shape of our lives and we really know how to train. There are so many great trainers out there that are making the cyclist the best they will ever be. I always wanted to not only win but just be a great role model. In order to do this I realized I had to separate myself from the others and for whatever reason I just turned to doping.
Joe- Are you truly sorry for your actions?
Lance- You see Joe I am but in a way I am not. I know it was cheating but with all the work I put into my career I know I deserve this. I believe even if I had not done this I still would have accomplished the things that I did. This is why I am so frustrated and wish I have not done it. So to answer your question I am sorry for cheating.
Joe- Do you believe this is how you got cancer?
Lance- This may play a small part in it but no one will ever know now will we. I personally do not believe it is how I got cancer but hey if it was the reason I have paid the consequences.
Joe- Do you have anything to say to your fans?
Lance- I want to apologize for anyone that I have disappointed but I want everyone to realize I still put in all the hard work that came with everything. I love to train and I love to win. Sometimes winning is not everything and I just want young kids to realize they do not need to cheat or use drugs in order to become the best. All it takes is hard work and dedication and dreams really can come true.
Joe- thanks for your time Lance
Lance- Thank you
